Today's topic is all about self-compassion, or being kind to yourself. Things are stressful right now. As a world, we are going through unprecedented times without an end date. It is easy to get caught up in negative self-talk. It's easy to be unkind to ourselves. The more that we are unkind to ourselves, the more frustrated, stressed, and emotional we become.
The next time you notice yourself talking negatively to yourself (I'm not good at this, I hate myself, I just want this to stop, etc.), try to practice these three steps:
Admit to yourself that you are struggling. Remind yourself that we are all going through this stressful time together. Remind yourself that you are worthy of kindness and acceptance. You are doing the best you can.
